Player Fines and Suspensions

12/16/07

The Central League - SCASA has a Rules and Disciplinary Committee made up of a small group of volunteers of varying background and credentials including Central League Team Reps and Members, Central League Board Members, and a FIFA Certified Referee.

The process for an appeal is simple;  within 48 hours of the incident/match the TEAM REPRESENTATIVE must email the League Administrator at columbiascsoccer@aol.com with a thorough and well thought out reason why the card should not have been issued if he/she chooses to appeal.

It is advisable to review the FIFA LAWS OF THE GAME which can be found at http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/federation/laws_of_the_game_0708_10565.pdf

If the Team Representative chooses not to appeal the fine must be recevied via US Mail by Wednesday prior to the next match.  Checks should be made payable to CL-SCASA.

A straight red card carries a $40 fine plus a minimum one game suspension.  (Note that two straight red cards given to the same player in one season is grounds for immediate removal from that team's roster for the remainder of the season).

A double yellow card carries a $25 fine plus a minimum one game suspension.  (Same rules for submitting the fine payment follows as listed above)

If a player is found to be playing while either under suspension or after serving his/her suspension with outstanding fines due he/she will serve an additional minimum one game suspension as will the team representative for his/her team.
